A Heritage of Success

Efforts in the past 30 years to immunize our nation’s children have had a dramatic effect.  Women like Rosalynn Carter and Betty Bumpers, co-founders of Every Child By Two, have given their time and effort and have used their influence to help every state mandate vaccination by school entry.  Thanks to their efforts, and the work of many others like them, our nation now boasts a 95 percent plus immunization rate for children entering school. 

We’ve come so far in our goal to reduce infant mortality through timely immunizations, and we should be proud of the work we’ve done.  However, there’s`` still much to be accomplished to give our children – especially those under the age of 2 – the gift of a healthy start in life.  With your help, we’d like to maintain the momentum that’s helped us provide preventive care to our children.

Many concerned individuals have dedicated their time and energy towards the development of computerized immunization registries to track children’s vaccines.
